NOTAM Decoder is a convenient reference guide for pilots, providing quick access to "Notice to Airmen" aviation and weather contractions including the standard aviation weather products, such as METAR/TAF, area forecasts, SIGMETs, AIRMETs, etc. Note: This app contains only those contractions that are found in "Notice to Airmen".
Simply enter the contraction you wish to decode into the text box. Upon submission you will be presented with a description, or list of descriptions, that match, or decode, that contraction as found in the FAAs Notice to Airmen publication.
NOTAM Decoder is a useful tool for pilots, student pilots, and aviation buffs that wish to have this quick reference available to them. NOTAM Decoder is not intended to replace flight instruction.

NOTAMs works great for me! Now instead of having to carry around a paper copy of all of the NOTAMs contractions I can quickly look them up on my iPhone. As an airline pilot I go through a lot of weather packages in a relatively short amount of time so having the NOTAM app is a huge help! Im not sure why the last reviewer gave a bad review, I wonder if they didnt understand what the app does? It doesnt decode airport identifiers or pull up live weather or live NOTAMs but rather is a convenient tool for decoding the various weather and NOTAM contractions that you will find in a standard weather briefing. Simply type in the contraction and NOTAMs will give you the answer. Its very easy to use and works great!!
Read the description people! It states that this app only provides the definitions to NOTAMs and other common contractions, not the actual/realtime Notices to Airmen!! This app is great for those learning the aviation language and "code". Keep up the good work!
A great addition to the flight bag! I love the ability to type just the first letter and then scroll through the options. Thanks for a great app!
Some bad moments
Put in four letter identifier and it did not work. Not found. Tried multiple ids. No joy.
Great but check SPECI SNW SPKL SPLNS and more. this program needs fixing
NOTHING on my release paperwork came up in this app. Worthless piece of @&*%€£!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I had to give it 1 star because it wont let me give it "0".
This app does not provide Notams. It only defines abbreviations. It is mis-labeled and probably not worth the money. I think it is actually deceptive advertising.
Nothing in this app indicated that it was "contractions only." Needed an app to decipher foriegn notams and this was a huge dissapointment.

and other. So, download free NOTAM Decoder .ipa to run this nice iOS application on iPhone and iPad.
